Bunny Boarding
(Guinea Pigs are welcome)
Bek’s Bunnies has been boarding rabbits we have sold for nearly 5 years. But near the end of 2008 we realised the growing need for professional Rabbit Boarding. As rabbits are becoming more popular and are now being treated similar to cats , it is natural that owners aren’t happy with leaving their pet to be looked after by inexperienced people. Rabbits are very vulnerable animals and need constant care and attention. They are very good at hiding their feelings so often neighbours do not realise when they are sick, this leads to sad situations. We promise you your rabbit will be cared for as if it was our own. We have expanded and built permanent boarding runs. These runs offer your rabbit a huge area to sleep, relax and play. As you would know we do not believe in bank breeding or small confined spaces and we don’t think boarding bunnies should have that either!
Your rabbit will be safe and secure. The runs are 100% escape proof. They are given fresh water, and fed quality pellets, fresh veggies and hay daily. They will be groomed when necessary and have a play outside their run every day.
In the hot weather your rabbit will be well looked after. Frozen ice packs are provided every few hours and in extreme heat they are brought inside where there is air conditioning. When temperature reaches over 30 degrees there is always somebody home to check the rabbits regularly.
For your rabbit to be boarded with us it needs to be healthy. It will be given a healthy check upon arrival. Your rabbit must be free of fleas and mite. It must not have the snuffles or other contagious problems. These all spread quickly and not wanted in our rabbitry. If you still need you rabbit looked after then we are happy to treat most problems and quarantine your rabbit. Extra charges do apply and in some cases a trip to the vet is needed. See Nursing Home for details
Your rabbits will be kept in its individual run and not come into direct contact with any other rabbits for health and safety reasons.
