At ‘Bek’s Bunnies’ we breed both purebred Mini Lop and Cashmere Standard Lop rabbits. We believe these are terrific breeds for a companion rabbit. They have a lovely playful temperament and being small in size are easy to handle. They love human interaction and can become very attached to their owners.

Our goal at Bek’s Bunnies is to breed healthy, happy, kits that we are proud of. When we send our kit’s to their new home, we are confident that we have given that rabbit the best start in life. Not only do they have great personalities but they are the correct size and shape ( in rabbit talk they are a good ‘type’ and have great ‘ear carriage’)

We are not a big rabbitry, housing at the most 17 adults. We do not practice the more common breeding conditions of multiple tire banks. Instead our rabbits are housed in custom built huge outdoor runs where there is plenty of room for them to exercise, relax and bring up litters.
We believe that if the rabbit’s are healthy and have the best possible lifestyle, housing, diet and attention, then they will in turn be less stressed and produce excellent kits. So far this theory has not failed!
From birth our kits are handled everyday and photographed often to capture their growth. Once they are four weeks old and starting to eat they are allowed to have a play in the garden, exploring the veggie patch and having a nibble with their mum. We allow all bunnies that are 4 – 8 weeks old to play together in a pen on the grass for a few hours each week.

The rabbits are fed in the morning. They get a combination of high quality nutritious rabbit pellets, and alternate between green leafy vegies, willow tree, apple tree, and herbs. They have a constant supply of grass or clover hay (a very important part of their diet). The rabbits are given sticks and branches to chew on for amusement and good dental management.
Apart from baby rabbits we offer other services. With the retail price of hutches and accessories so high we decided to give customers the opportunity to get great hutches at great prices. We have developed a number of Complete Packages to make life easier. You can purchase everything from the one place and save money in the process! If your life is busy you can order over the phone and have everything delivered to you!
Rabbit Boarding is becoming a large part of Bek’s Bunnies. It is continuing to grow as more people realise it’s not overly safe to leave their rabbit with the neighbours! With our custom built boarding run’s we will look after your rabbit like it is our own.

The demand for our rabbits is growing and we simply can’t keep up and we don’t like to turn people away. To solve this problem we have decided to get help from a breeder with 40 years of experience. Andy raises his rabbits in the same loving environment as we do. His purebred kits come to us once weaned happy and healthy, they stay for one or two weeks and then go to their new homes. In doing this we should have kits available most of the time.

All our rabbits are part of the family. We are all happy and have lots of fun together. You cannot help but smile and laugh when you are watching a young litter of kit’s playing together or annoying their mum.
